Landscape Stewardship Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed to address the needs of seed growers, land managers, researchers, and land stewards who restore degraded lands across North America.

Support healthy, resilient natural landscapes for the long term.

We study the natural world and turn what we learn into practical guidance for caring for land and native species. Our maps, reports, and plain-language summaries help partners make informed decisions.

Our vision is a landscape stewardship community equipped with the knowledge and tools to sustain resilient ecosystems and diverse native plant communities.

Rob Massatti, PhD

Chief Scientist

Dr. Rob Massatti is Chief Scientist at Landscape Stewardship Collective. He connects ecological research with the decisions people face when restoring and caring for land. His work spans native seed development, post-fire revegetation, and rare plant conservation. Through collaborative research and practical decision frameworks, he helps partners weigh options, understand uncertainty, and plan for the long-term health of natural landscapes.

Trevor Faske, PhD

Research Scientist

Dr. Trevor Faske is a Research Scientist for Landscape Stewardship Collective. Dr. Faske uses his training as an evolutionary and computational biologist to focus on applying genetic tools to improve the management and restoration of native plant communities. His research examines how genetic and adaptive variation is distributed across landscapes and how this information can inform native seed sourcing, restoration, and conservation decisions. He works at the intersection of evolutionary biology, landscape genetics, and applied conservation, with an emphasis on translating complex genetic data into practical tools for land managers.
